Monthly Watercolour Workshops Sept-Dec 2023, 10:00 - 13:00 at the Recreation Hall in Gullane (behind Village Hall).
NB: These sessions are for those who have already attended an 'Introduction to Watercolour'.

- 23rd Sept - Seafoam, Starfish & Seahorses: create atmospheric salt washes and paint your sea subjects on stop - a fun end-of-summer session.
- 28th Oct - All Hallows Eve. Seasonally inspired pumpkins and spooky woods and spiderwebs.
- 25th Nov - Autumn Scenes - Going for Gold. Paint expressive abstracted autumn scenes. Create golden leaves and seasonal berries on vibrant pigment washes.
- 9th Dec - Festive Special. Create a festive vignette and seasonal holiday cards for friends and family. Enjoy a festive playlist and mince pies in a relaxed, social setting.

These sessions allow you to continue your watercolour and mixed media practice in an open workshop setting. Additional water-based mediums will be included in these sessions, such as high-flow acrylics, water-soluble pastels and pencils, and various inks.
While prompts and how-to sheets will be available, you will be encouraged to explore your creative voice. Enjoy the process of mark-making, learning new techniques and experimenting with various materials and textures.
Kat will support you with your practice and any/all individual projects in each session.

MATERIALS:
The cost of the session includes materials (high-quality artist-grade watercolour paper and paints and mixed media) and a reusable watercolour palette that you can take home with any excess paint to practice with.
When choosing a block of sessions, I recommend investing in a study sketchbook and a watercolour sketchbook to keep notes from your continued practice. A list of suggested options will be sent before the block begins.
Refreshments will be available throughout.
